get a nitrous kit. 150 hp when you need it and itll only make your engine work hard when you use it, whereas an SC or turbo will constantly work your engine. and nitrous isnt that expensive. thats what im gonna do after i get a cam in about a month.

Depends if your wanting to build it yourself or have it just drop in. If you decide to go with forced induction plan on going fordged and upgrading your whole fuel system and trans along with the motor build. The stock rotating asm will hold small amounts of boost for awhile, then your back to square 1. Best case is it just takes out a ring land and dosent hurt the block, worst case rods exit stage left.

You'll also need a fully built transmission like stated above. It's a lot of work to make these trucks run sub 12s unless you're a 4th gen then it's kind of easy

If you are on a budget, then nitrous is the way to go. With a 125-150 shot and full botons, there is no reason why you cant go high 11's-low 12's with good air and some track prep. The top hemi truck engine builders are Sharadon Performance and Inertia Performance. Sharadon has a few supercharged stroker trucks going mid 10's to low 11's, and Inertia has built some awesome N/A setups including a few that are running alot of nitrous through them.

If you decide to go with a stroker, I would call both of those shops and see what they can put together for you.

Yea I was looking at the sharadon transmissions stage three I'm not really on a budget cause I'm building a seperate motor I just want to keep it reliable cause it is my DD I heard from some people that if I ever planned on forced induction to build a 426 cause the 392 doesn't like boost any opinion and what do y'all think about the sharadon transmissions?

Depends on what block you start with. If you are keeping the 5.7 block and planning on boost, then I would go 370"...392" if you want to stay N/A. If you are planning on a 6.1 block with boost, then a 392" would be a better option...426" if staying N/A.

As for the transmissions, Sharadon makes the best transmission available for our trucks. They have put thousands of hours into developing these transmissions and they are behind the fastest hemi trucks including 2 Rumble Bees running mid 10's and low 11s.

The cylinder walls are going to be pretty thin with a 5.7 based 392", so you would be cutting it close. A well built 370" will take a BIG shot of nitrous without any trouble. Sure, the 392" is going to make more power N/A, but the difference in power is a simple nitrous jet away with the 370". I would rather play it safe and know that I can run a bigger shot of nitrous if I needed it. It will be better for you as a DD as well.

The 6.1 blocks are getting harder to come by now that they are no longer in production. Matt on the 5.7 345 ci build to a 6.1 370ci build the walls are still semi thin unless your gonna get your displacement from the stoke. We did a 5.7 knocked out to accecpt a full 6.1 rotating asm and I thought the walls were thin to not be sleeved. That being said that motor went through hell with no issues.
