Hey Sil, you know off the top of your head what the rev can be maxed out at? I have been thinking of raising mine up to the max now that I have the 6.1 springs and see what happens.

Diablo 91 tune, slightly tweaked

Truckin,
Question for you, how have you dealt with knock? Are you tweaking timing or quenching with fuel?
Thanks,

To get rid of the KR I had to richen it up a bit to get rid of it. Got my AFR down to the low 12's and the kr went away.

If I can ever get this job wrapped up and get home I'll have my A/F kit installed.
Thanks,

I have a DSP with custom 93 tune. I am very happy with it, but often wonder if it is as good a SC or better, I don't know.

Those that have had both DSP and SC, what are your thoughts?

I've had both. I liked the DSP for how much "more" it could do (at the time) - but with the tranny stuff - SC kills DSP.

I too have had both. My 03 doesn't benefit from the trans tuning and I want a custom tune so I have a DSP. However, I liked the SC better. Look at the Diablo support forum and you can see the problems various folks are having and how Diablo is providing support to correct these problems. NOT!

I have seen a lot of issues with the dsp, thankfully I have not had any issues with mine. I got it because I eventually will do a cam swap and wanted custom tuning. However, since sc has came out with trans tuning I have been reconsidering which I would rather have.

If I owned a 2005 model there would be no doubt what I'd own.

I have had my issues with the DSP*. It came with the 9r04 crom. I have tried the newer versions including the 9t08a crom. But because what I feel is a lack of beta testing by Diablo, I went back to the earlier 9r04 crom. The newer version are for the later model vehicles. Too many things fall through the cracks as far as I am concerned and Diablo could care less as long as the units are going out the door. If you doubt what I am saying, look at the Diablo support forum and see the issues that are popping up and how many are being solved. My .02 cents.....
* Note Diablo didn't fix my issue. I had to go to the dealer and pay for a reflash and a ABS reset to solve the problem.

I really only had one issue with the DSP, on one of their later croms, it stopped supporting the trans for the 05's, spent a few weeks going back and forth trying different things to get it to work and they got it fixed.

The only reason why I switched from SC to the DSP was the custom tuning aspect of it. I had no issues with the SC and would like to try the trans stuff they have out now but I dont think my truck will run right with it anymore... What I am looking forward to is with the newer release from DSP you are supposedly able to do custom trans tuning (1st through 5th) along with your custom tune files and they are suppose to be MUCH better than what the user tools can do with it.

SC 3815 91 Tune maxed out/stacked with SCT
Use DSP for PID logging though.

What is the advantage of stacking the 3815 with the SCT? I could see a 3865 with the trans tuning then the SCT for custom PCM tuning. Just wandering?
