I have the 3815 and paid what you did and love it...It does have the MRS elimination...Don't know why yours doesnt

those that love the 3815 only have the stock tuning to compare it with, so yeah of course you're gonna love it. The 3865 is every bit as much better than the 3815 than the 3815 is better than stock. You've got like 5 features at best with the 3815, and a wholllle bunch more on the 3865. Its a no-brainer to me..

and btw... i use a DSP, so im def not biased.

Odd you don't have the mds shut off. Gonna have to call SC if you cant find it

Very correct...And I still like it...For those that don't want to wait or spend $300 plus on a new one...I'd say the 3815 is well worth the $150

Thats the only reason I bought it, it was cheap and did what I want. Just gota get in touch with SC about the MDS.

I do love my new shift points, extra horse power, etc!

The 3815 is still a very good tuner. The base tuning is the same. You can't upgrade to the advanced trans options, but otherwise the tuning is still awesome.

I have the 3815 and it does give me the option to turn of mds but I'm new to this tuning stuff does it hurt performance to leave the mds enabled when set to the 91 oct performance tune it seems to give me better gas mileage on the highway

I get better gas mileage no matter where I drive with the 91 on...MDS disabled...Trip meter is giving me nearly 16 at all times

i get around 14 mpg city 20 hwy with mds enabled if i disable it will gas mileage decrease ?

MDS is the technology your truck uses to run on 4 cylinders instead of 8. I would assume that running 4 cylinders compared to 8 saves gas.

Well I turned it off when I went from the SC 87 tune to the 91 tune and had tremendous gains

I didn't run to long on the 87 though

Reporting back, finally got the MDS disabled and I am so happy.

At 50mph before, MDS would switch in and out in and out, sometimes it lasted a long time.

The tuner has done everything I wanted, gave me power, and disabled MDS, for $150 I say I got a steal.
