hey guys, I have a 2007 Hemi Ram 1500 Crew Cab. recently as im driving down the hwy, my Tow Haul switches on by itself and Overdrive switches on and off. has any body else experienced this? is it an easy fix?

Does the button on the shifter seem to be loose or look really worn? I have never heard of this before.
Does it do it all the time or just once?

It will do it couple times a day most days. Then not at all the next. Button doesnt seem any looser than normal, but then again it shouldnt cause i never use tow/haul or turn my overdrive off. When it first started, id immediately push the button to change it back. But now, i just let it do its thing. On a 10 mile drive, it'll do it 5-6 times, then stop. Weired.

Definitely strange. Almost sounds like a bad connection or ground somewhere. Unfortunatly i dont even know where i would start looking. Maybe if redtruck comes along he can give you a clue, i know he wired his overdrive button into the steering wheel.

Maybe it has the optional "clapper" control, being set off by the hemi tick..

this may not be as uncommon as you think because my 07 ram does exactly the same thing. once in a while it just goes crazy and switches out of OD to TOWHAUL and then OD on. it is annoying.I would like some answers also

Open loop somewhere, get it on a scan tool n start chasing wires. Gl.
