Has anyone successfully swapped their automatic trans for a standard. If so, what method did you use?

It can be done, if your gonna do it, You're gonna need a ECU that came out from a manual truck, along with a pedal assembly. Clutch ***** cylinderpressure, pressure plate and a new flywheel and obviously a new tranny. My instructor at school did a swap on his 06 ill see if I can get you so photos

I'm trying to put a 6sp in my 05 Dodge Ram 1500. Idc where it comes from as long as it's strong and fits and doesn't make the electrical aspect a royal pain in the ass

A nv4500 would be easier then. Get one from a ram 2500. A g56 might work too. They both run anywhere from $2,000-$3,500 on ebay rebuilt last time I checked.

Nv3500 would work on a stock motor, not too good on a built motor (more hp).

So in theory an ecu from a hemi 2500, the tranny from the same, and a pedal assembly +all the connectors and stuff. Custom driveshaft too. Doesn't sound too difficult

We had a guy about a year ago do this cause his auto kept giving out, I gave him a parts list of thing he would need. I'll try to find the thread, he did the swap, said it was kind of a PITA, but he got it done.
