What can I do to get more power. Like what is a good cam, gears, headers, all that good stuff. I got a 2004 Ram Hemi, single cab, 4x4 with a K&N cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and shorty wires. Thanks

Welcome bud, what kind of budget are we working with here and are you good with a wrench? Tuner would be a good start with your current mods, up to you on keeping the spacer, those just make a whistle sound on these trucks and produce no HP. whats your plans for the truck? Just a fun street truck or what?

Heres mine, basically a cam, heads, longtubes into a single chamber.

Walk around on 17's and short tires trying them out.

I would follow the pack and say a tuner, something with custom map availability.
Then I would tackle the exhaust. Definitely some long tubes, beyond that, it's kind of you call how low you want it etc. Don't think that you cannot have high flow without high volume. Loud exhausts just make it more fun!

What gears do you have? Does it have a posi? Being able to put down what you have is more important than making even more.

37s and getting a good time at the track isn't really going to happen without serious mods even then you will have a tough time

I would say do what I did. Get a programmer, exhaust, and then gears and go from there. From experience once you switch to 4.56's your gonna want some cal tracs or something like them.

If you want good track times with 37s, you best look at 4.88 gears and a locker. Make sure you can put down every last ounce of power you make.

Get some long tubes, add some nitrous.

Alright what is a good cam to make torque to run big 37"-35" tires. I like off roading more then the track. And a good gear brand and ratio?

I don't know crap about cams, I'm assuming an RV cam would be best, if they make such a unit for the 5.7.

I'd advise Yukon Gears 4.88s.

4.88s wont fit in the 1500 front housing. Biggest the OP can go will be a 4.56 set. Quickest guys on the track are running a bottle with heads and cam along with verter and the rest of the supporting mods. Far as the cam one can be cut to your spec.
