Never even thought about using that stuff on the exhaust. After I took the pic I tried it on a spot on the y pipe that had a small leak where I hadn't welded it. So far it seems to have stopped the leak. That was a great idea! Now I won't have to crawl back under and do more welding until I finish with the exhaust for good.

That stuff seems to work good. I will give it a real test tomorrow after it has had a good chance to cure but so far, it seems to be holding after the idle test.

Your exhuast gasses are a lot hotter than 700* use your AI and check the exhaust temps....

Not at the tail end of the y pipe where I used the stuff. It is working great.

Alright, I know up by the cats its welll above 700* though, the only spot on mine is where the collectors meet the Y and those temps are up there

I believe the AI reads the temps at the O2's so just idling its right around 900* +/- but under WOT its 1800*+

It does get hot under there. I just ran out front, started her up (just got back from an hour ride about 5 minutes ago) and checked my AI real quick to see what it read and it said 922 for the exhaust gas temp.
