If you want a fan controller... This one cant be beat! It's actually made for the 3.8L ford Taurus 2 speed fans! His name is Brian Baskins and he actually makes them out of his garage. Not great on communication, and it usually takes about a month to get the controller, cause he's behind on orders. But it's worth it!

Yeah. I'd go with a cheaper one though. Most fan's you'll find are only one speed. The 3.8L Ford Taurus fan is 2 speed. So this controller is made to handle a low and high speed. Most fans like the flexalite fan only put out 3300 CFM. I believe the taurus fan puts out like 3500 CFM on low and 4500-5000 CFM on high. Just food for thought. And you can pick and pull them for like $15-25 bucks.

Just make sure the fan is a puller... not a pusher. I mean when you mount it on the back side of the radiator, make sure it's a fan that pulls the air through the radiator and pushes it onto the engine. My first taurus E-fan didn't work this way, it pushed the air through the radiator and out the front of the truck. So when I was driving down the road, it would fight the natural flow of air through my radiator and blow the fuse. Lol I wasn't smart enough to realize that this wasn't a good thing. So yeah, just learn from my mistakes.

Stock cam wont be making power at that rpm but you will have great shift recovery. Whats the safe rpm to spin the stock springs for an extended amount of time?

Early build 04's have also reported breaking valve springs along with the 03's. I had mine set at 6500 and shift points of 6200 on stock springs. Good luck...

Thats what im questioning... all ya will get is shift recovery... change to 6.1 springs and then I would say go for it.

I ran high rpms w/ stock cam for years & I have an early 04. You will be fine. You will be faster w/ the shifts & revs maxed out period!

Stock cam and intake falls on its face after around 5800rpms or so. With that said I got the best results when I was shifting at 6100 & 6000rpms with headers.

Rocket, I'm starting to understand why you're called Rocket. Piping O2 shouldn't be a lot different than NO2. A regulator would be necessary and some expermenting. Go get Grandpa's oxygen bottle and see how it goes. Wear gloves so if it doesn't work out as planned you can still type.
