Neither. Turbo and SC suck for towing, you just can't get the tune right. Do a 100 shot of nitrous.

Supercharged I heard is better for gas while Turbo or twin Turbo is better for diesels. Ill be doing to twin Turbo for my next truck which will be a cummins.

I like the power possibilities with a turbo but the simplicity (in comparison) of a nice root style supercharger.

If it were me, id go with a procharger, pretty much the only thing next to the sts that actually works on these trucks without blowing them up. Of course once you boost, you'll have to replace your trans since they can't handle that much power for to long.

my truck is not a daily driver(hemi durango). i have never hauled anything with it,and dont tow(duramax).

and dont forget mine is a 5.9 gas. so i dont care about fuel mileage.you dont get much worse fuel economy than the 5.9.lol with my mods my overhead says 8.9mpg.

the closest place for me to get nos is about 50miles away.

procharger is actually what i had planned for awhile now. but the sts turbo is about half the cost.

Procharger is instant boost where the turbo has lag. I would do a procharger if money wasn't an issue and I had plenty of time to work out all the kinks.

Pretty sure the procharger still has to spool up like a front mounted turbo, its not a root style SC where you tap the gas and get 100% of the power

^Thought depending on the pully size you run you could have it running constant boost. I could be wrong though lol. To early in the morning and have not had coffee yet.

If you want to go mild power gain like 70-110 hp gains, go supercharger, plus its pretty much removable if something goes wrong. If you want 110+ go turbo, but you'll need to start upgrading internals, and that trans will need some major upgrades, and if your turbo has a problem, the engine is INOP.

i would be more than happy with 100hp more. with my cam and heads, that is what i am hoping for.

never really thought about something going bad and needing to remove it. good point trip.

and its kinda seeming like just about everyone is leaning towards the supercharger.

Don't get me wrong, the STS kit looks amazing, and Ive heard great things! Also, it's an easy upgrade to a twin turbo system in the future if you want more power! MUHAHA! Just make sure your oil return lines/pump/system are upgraded, cause Ive heard that's they're weakest point in the STS kit, and has the highest fail rate.

Supercharger just seems the safest, easiest, and most feasable power adder for the mid level-HP junky! = P

But seems like you have all the supporting mods for either system, so either way your gonna blow the tires off your truck! Good luck man! MOPAR POWER!

I was planning on doing this with my last truck, so I was on the fence, in pretty much the same dilemma you were.

Here's a couple threads I started for info.
http://www.ramforum.com/f50/fuel-system-upgrade-ideas-questions-2743/
http://www.ramforum.com/f50/engine-compression-parts-questions-2840/

And here were my plans...

Base setup for supercharger rated up to 8 #'s of boost: 80-110 HP

Fuel Mods
1. 255 Walboro Fuel pump... one, maybe two of them in a dual setup, not sure yet.
2. New stainless fuel lines
3. Fore Precision Works Billet Fuel Rails
4. Siemens 80# Fuel injectors (8)
5. Aeromotive 13129 Fuel Pressure Regulator

Supercharger Mods
6. Srt-4 Map Sensor
7. Boost Guage
8. Fuel Pressure Guage
9. AFR Guage

10. Procharger

Once those are done, it's ready for the supercharger!

More Boost Mods 12-18#'s 150-210 HP+

11. 6.1L Crankshaft
12. Forged Dished pistons
13. Ported Heads
14. Forged Lightweight Connecting Rods
15. 6.1L Springs/Retainers
16. Inertia Built Custom Supercharger Cam

and my old truck... I miss the **** out of her!
