I cant decide wether to have a custom y pipe built with stock cats, or use the jba 3 inch catless y pipe. the install of my jba lt headers is all riding on this decision. What are yalls opinions? I plan on keeping everything after my muffler stock. And i already have a magnaflow muffler installed. I have an 11 r/t.

If you can get away without cats, then the JBA Y-pipe is tough to beat. I don't think you will find a local shop that can build you a mandrel bent stainless y-pipe for less than $260.

If you need cats, then you have no choice but to go with a custom setup.

409 is cheaper. It will surface rust eventually but its good for life. The stock system is made of that.
304 will not react. It is also not magnetic, good way to check. Its often used on bmw and mercedes exhaust systems.

it's really hard to say because I'm highly modded...I wanted an exhaust to breathe and basically did 3" true duals to muffler...but because in the back of my mind I thought about an exhaust that was TOO free flowing...i got a maganaflow dual 3.5" single in/dual 3" out and rotated it 180 so that it became a dual 3" in/single 3.5" out....because of my cam/motor setup, it pulls really hard up top and keeps pullin past 100 mph (not that I do that all the time :) )
