Has anyone ran 0 Gauge power wire in their truck?

If you have, post up some pictures of your wiring route, and explain how you ran through the firewall, and how you hid the wire in your truck.

Feel free to post up pics of other amp installations too.

I used 4, I want through the rubber grommet hole in the fire wall for the e brake, just pushed it to the side and ran the power under the door sill and under the carpet to under the seat where its already cut for the power seat wiring, I ran the ground to a factory ground just to the inside of the drivers door, amp just sits under my drivers seat, and I ran speaker wire under the rear door sill to under the back seat.

And the terminals on the amp are 0 gauge, so I figured that's what kicker wants you to use.

Yes, 0 gauge would be more than fine, better to have more than less. And yes, we recommend 0 gauge :)

I ran my 0 wire along the frame under the drivers side and put a hole under the back seats. Pic in my build thread somewhere.

I guess you work for kicker.. what do you do?
yes

Recommend, but is it really needed???

when it comes to current, can you over kill?
having an amp run with less volatge is less pwoer, and DC, or clipped signal. You can never have too much, plus, some want up too' a 0 gauge input.

What is this clutch delete that people keep bringing up, a preexisting hole?

its a plate in the firewall. Its plastic, so its nice and easy to drill through.

Is that last pic after you drilled a hole or is it preexisting?

The hole in the metal is already there. Its just a plastic cover that's bolted over it

So you dont have to do any drilling to run the wire through the firewall at all? Or did you remove the plastic cover in order to run the wire through?

Remove the plate drill your hole in the plate. Then bolt the plate back in and then run your wire
