Hey guys. Long story short bought a box locally on Craigslist with a kicker shallow mount sub for cheap. Go to test fit it and the box is to tall. I'm not wanting to run seat spacers at all. Do I have any options for a sub box for my 12in kicker that isn't to expensive? Thanks.

Any reason you don't want the spacers?

Have a few tall people that ride in my truck and don't want to lose any head room. And also when I removed the lids under the seats I went to remove and bolt and its creaking. So I don't want to risk breaking a bolt to the seat.

Gotcha, you may have to build your own.

Yea that's what I'm trying to avoid lol. I've seen a few on eBay that come with 2 10in kickers for 200 that claim you don't need to. I may give that a try and sell mine. I know the quality probably isn't there but I'm not keeping this truck more then another year or so. So I really don't want to spend much.

Seal the box with caulk if you are worried about it. For this style box, sealed, quality isn't a huge deal.

Yes that is very true. I would definitely give it and extra bead of caulk to make sure it's sealed. This is it:

That ones pretty nice to. You didn't have to use seat spacers or anything?

the box is built really well! I had to remove the storage lid and that was it, fits perfect and has about .5" space between sub and seat bottom! i did however stuff mine with polly fill to help with airspace, i have 1 kicker comp 12 and a kicker 600 mono amp and it sounds great, you can really feel the bass.
