2012 ram sat radio cuts out

my 2012 ram 1500 radio the sat signal loses contact.it will work fine and lose its signal and come back on.ti will sometimes say searching for satelite but not always.
im thinking it may be a bad sat antenna connection.can the rest ot the radio works great anyone help solve or give me a place to start? thank you in advance

Where is your location? Far north or in a mountainous region? These will effect your reception. Also check your Sat antennae cable in the back of the radio and make sure it is secure and not loose. There are two antennae that plug in the radio, Sat and AM/FM.

you will have to pay shop time for a dealer to diagnose if you dont have an extended warranty.

like ^^ he said terrain plays a huge factor.

I wouldn't bother. Sirius is the most repetitive music playlist with obnoxious washed up MTV VJ's talking way too much.

I would agree with you there!! it was great when if first came out in the early 2000's as you could go most of the day never hearing a repeat. But now is just as bad as normal radio
