2014 Ram 1500 fob won't unlock tailgate

My tailgate isn't unlocking using the fob. Instead of hearing a "click" I am getting a buzzing noise. Any suggestions?

Sure it's just with the fob? Try with the door switch as well, sounds like the lock motor is fried or maybe the mechanism is frozen depending where u live.

take it to the dealer. Should be under warrantee

Take it back to the dealership you probably got a defective part. At least it did it under warranty.

Mine 14 Ram did the same thing, dealer ordered new parts and said it was
fixed. Two days later its doing the same thing again.

Thanks for the replies! I've got an appointment with the dealer Friday. I hope it stays fixed, what a hassle.

It was a faulty actuator.

My dealer has had my truck for a week and told me it would take another day to replace the actuator because they had to remove the bed...I quickly told them they were wrong and that I need my truck back today. Still waiting, we'll see if I get it back today or not.
