Has anyone done this? I tried searching but no luck. I know how to install the radio I'm just not sure where. I don't have the center shifter I have the jump seat so I can't put it in the storage bin. I'm getting a bed box and mounting the antenna to that to avoid drilling into my truck. Any pics or info is appreciated. Thank you

Just wondering if you found anything or a solution? I have a ham radio antenna, 2m / 440 mounted on top of one door and now want to mount a 10m antenna.

I am thinking of something off the bed of the truck, but I have a hard cover on it.

Thanks for the link, that is how I might install my radio. I recently obtained a Cobra 200 GTL DX, (10 meters) from a SK. I found this mount (2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 Dodge RAM CB Radio Mount | eBay) and might try and make one myself or reduce my to-do list and just pick up one. My worries are, the heat sink on the 200 GTL is on the bottom and hope after some heavy use the heat will not transfer to the mounting bracket and to the dashboard plastic. Now onto the antenna. I have a 10 m antenna but looking for a place to mount it. While I do not have a welder, but know a few guys with on, I might try and fabricate a bracket for the bed of the truck.

Be very careful with the match on the cobra 200 GTL DX. They are a very nice radio with great receive and great sounding transmit but if the match is just a tad high they fry. I have More then a few friends that have cooked them. I myself run a modified old school 148 GTL(mounted to the side of the console so no help for you there) and a Palomar 300 2 pill with a Wilson 1000 mag mount on the roof and have talked all over the US.I kinda like the old school stuff better, they seem to take more abuse and still keep going.I even run a Bone stock 148 GTL with a d104 lolipop and a 35 year old rebuilt star duster on my base with zero problems for years.

Mounted mine to the front of my console, ran the power cable under the console up the back and then into the 12 volt adapter in the console. Coax runs along the floor under the console under the backseat out the back door and up to the antenna.
