adding an EQ

has anyone with the Alpine system tired adding a EQ for finer adjustments, if so how did it turn out and was there anything out of the normal that u had to do.

I have the alpine, but are you talking about the sub itself or just the speakers? Besides normal minor adjustments through the 7 inch deck, I don't know there's any options. Also the alpine system while an upgrade from normal, has a pretty crappy sub and speakers, so I don't know how better the sound would get. Lots of guys on here have done innexpensive Kicker upgrades and raved about them!

I'm not 100% familiar with the Alpine upgrade, but if it has a DSP amp already in it, there's not much adjustment you can do. Can you see where the factory amp is?
