Anyone have same system i have? I have 2012 ram with alpine system. I was wondering if anyone changed the woofer under the rear passenger side seat. Is that a 10" woofer and if so is it worth changing it to a better one

Hows it sound? Does the seat go all the way back down with foxbox or does seat sit slightly raised. I had a box in my 06 ram but it was one long box with two 10" woofers but seat sat slightly raised due to box. I still have box in basement. I will post pics tonight or tomorrow.

I have the 10 speaker Alpine surround system...and to be honest...I don't listen to much rap and it sounds quite good to me. I also don't usually turn it up so loud I can't think. It gets plenty loud for me. BUT...if I was to upgrade all the speakers in the truck what would you recommend? Are the factory Alpine speakers descent? Are they paper cones? Let me know...thanks!

from everything i have seen with a fox box you need the install spacers to lift the rear seats.

the sub sounds awesome. I need one that is higher wattage to match my amp to run at high volumes. I also swapped out the door speakers. But with the alpine system it was almost worthless. Its all cross overed. The front doors do mid to mid lows and rear doors do mids to highs. If you keep the stock setup dont go too high power speakers. Mine are about 100watts RMS each and over all quieted it down. Though the back doors do have alot more highs in them and the fronts I didn't notice a difference. THe alpine speakers are blue poly cones. Better than the non-alpine system.

Here is my thread to the door speaker upgrade http://www.ramforum.com/f51/audio-mods-done-6211/

I hope i helped and ask more questions if needed
