The way I'm reading the RF page, there will be a plug-n-play harness receiver for the giant plug that provides input to the Alpine amp. The DSR-1 will receive the full/raw signals from the head unit and be able to interpolate the CANBUS signals.

Then out of the DSR-1 you can connect a new amp via RCA's. And then run your speaker wires from your new amp to the original Alpine output harness (which at this point is essentially just plug with all the indivual speaker wires neatly organized that prevents a million wire taps).

Any BS flags going up on my logic?

So seeing the dsp needs tuning to change signal n stuff..What happends when its fully tuned and your puttin down the road but the song thats playing needs a lil more bass or mid/treble...Do you still make the adjustments through the head unit like normal or does it have to go through the dsp software tuning??????

You'll still be able to use the bass-treb settings on the headunit, this piece will be an easy way to bypass the alpine amplifier so you can add a multi channel amp of your choice
