I decided to pick up a set of these because I wanted to take the grilles and replace those on my Scan Illuminators. I read some great reviews on the Alpines and many consider them on a short list of SQ tweeters. I decided to mount them and give them a try before I dissected them.
To my surprise, I actually like them slightly better than my Scans? Why? More about the looks then anything. They just simply sound amazing. Very open, smooth, detailed without being over bearing with a touch on the soft side. I have them currently crossed at 3.6khz @ 6db. Yes, 6db and they are taking it like a champ. If my memory is correct they are identical "almost" to the Scan R3004-6020 and made/designed by ScanSpeak for Alpine...same as their F1 line.
How much to I like them? I just picked up another set for spares. LOL.
FS 790hz
