Hey guys, im looking into upgrading my 2014 ram uconnect 5.0 RA2 to maybe the Alpine x009-ram. It has a bit more features than the 8.4 Ra4. I cannot find any reviews on this product and don't want to drop such a huge investment without knowledge (I cannot find a deal ANYWHERE on this product). Anyone have experience with this unit?

Alpine

Thanks!

Not in a Ram, but my buddy has the same set up in his GMC and loves it. This from a guy who will have a $30,000 audio build in his $120,000 Mercedes. He has the Alpine in his Denali.

I am beginning to think the piece of equipment is out of my league price wise :whymewhyme:

We have done two at work, for sponsored athletes.
They are amazing. But were in GM based trucks.

if this was maybe 1 grand less expensive i would have gotten it. As much as i like the idea of android auto i would barely use it so that is whatever to me that it doesnt have it. Below msrp i would just check amazon and ebay. You wont get much below on something like that though

With CES a month or so away, if they plan to make changes, they will be dumping the price now, or just after Jan CES show.

I have to agree. for the money would look into a radio that works with a maestro and has carplay or android auto. you should be able to get a setup like this for under 1k.

I also know someone that did it in a GM truck and loves it.

pffft...not to sound like a debbie downer, but that thing is a waste of money. You could do a really nice, fully active system for the price of that pile of junk.
I love Alpine, but their price point on this product is comical

I looked at it recently at a local Audio Shop. I like the huge screen but, that's about where it ends. I hate the buttons and the overall look and other than the kit being designed specifically for the Vehicle, it doesn't do anything more than other systems.

I do believe it works with Maestro!

Does anyone out there have any setup tips or guides ?!

You do need the Maestro to set it up and a laptop. To the guys that we installed them, absolutely love them and the functions they do, integrated with the factory gauges, etc
