Shouldnt be an issue, SD should work.

Yes tons of issues with 16 radios in 13 thru 15 trucks. I had 2 almost new ones neither would even boot up. According to Austin @ Navrepair the 16 radios are not comparable with 13 thru 15 trucks. I kept one of my 16 radios hoping someone figured this out.

He's talking about a 2014 radio in a 2016 truck not the other way around. I read it wrong the first time to.

oops, guess I just wasn't thinking that way. It would make no sense to me, the 14 had less functionality, the free trial on both XM and travelink are gone, whereas the 16 radio would still have at a minimum 4 years of free travel link left.

was just curious.mainly about the sd card with a 16 radio you have to have a obd 2 genie to add it if say you have a express didn't know if if this is the radio software or bcm issue.i have what i think is 2017 8.4 already.
