Anyone tried one of these??

Yeah original plan was to run no rears at all, I was planning on using the high level
Inputs but he lost that plug (really friggin handy)lol... so that's why I got the loc this am.. so it's getting returned anyway tomorrow.. I wonder if keeping the speakers hooked up would fool the head unit.. if in fact that's issue and not the loc..

I'd try it with the rear speakers hooked up. See what it gives ya.

Get a pic of the high level in plug, I might be able to find one around the shop that I squirrelled away.

Hahah my guy said the same thing, he's going to look in the am.. I am going to add a pic the rounded ports are bottom left and top right... which everything I have found online is reversed

If you found a plug the same size, even if the rounds weren't right, you can trim them with a razor blade so they'll fit. At least alpine marked what's who on the unit so you know what wires go where..

I'll look at the shop tomorrow see if I can dig one up. How big is the plug? 1/2" square or so?

Did you cut the rear speaker wires and hook them directly to a LOC? If so, I have read that you will need to use load resistors on those speaker outputs from the HU to get them to turn on. If that is not what you are doing the please disregard.

Messed with it again this am after doing some thinking and I ended up just keeping the speakers hooked up and hooking into those lines and out to the loc.. turned it on and it fired right up... so by the looks of things the radio needs to see the correct load on each channel or it will lock it out

You can use 100 ohm resistors across the + and - of each speaker line - then it will work.

It actually sounds very good, I've gotta take it all back apart and clean up the instal now and set it up a bit more but initial impressions are very good

It's not quite as tight as I had hoped tho, I find it does play a lot of the lows that I wasn't expecting tho

Being a band pass setup it won't be overly tight. But should be really efficient at it's tuned frequency.

Still want that harness? I should be able to send it out tomorrow
