Automatic Door Locks Will Unlock, but Won't Lock

I am having the same issue. Driver door, and tailgate lock, other 3 doors remain unlocked. It was intermittent with the driver side rear a few times, but now it seems to be an issue with the other doors as well. Please update with the fix. Is it the body control module? Is this something that can be replaced in the driveway, or am I making a trip to the dealer? Thanks

did this truck get real wet in the heavy rains yall have been getting? I am guessing you got some connectoids wet and they have corroded, and are causing intermittent problems..

I wish I knew the fix. Dropped my truck off again today, 4th time. First time, they addressed other issues with the truck and forgot about the locks, possibly because it was intermittent at the time, but they had confirmed they replicated the problem? They've replaced the driver side passenger latch twice, not the right fix. I asked that they consider the body ctrl module. Will let you know what they say this time.

My problems started before we had the rains. My guess was that it was intermittent when temperatures were low because there is a broken/almost-broken/crimped wire, and when the temp is low, humidity is low, less resistance in the air for the current to continue. I could be totally full of sh*t though.

Mine has worked fine since they replaced the BCM, I think the relays for the door locks are integrated into the BCM, a bad relay would explain the intermittent problem. And of course they are non replaceable without a BCM swap.

What I don't understand is why it'll work for a day or two after they replace the latch, but then it goes out again. I asked them to consider the issue being the BCM. Hopefully they do.

Picked my truck up again. Wed to Tues. They replaced the Body Control Module this time. We'll see if my locks are still working after a few days.

Well, it's been a week and the locks are still working. Looks like BCM replacement fixed it.

I am having this exact same issue. 2013 Laramie, with the same locking issues. Just started a week ago. I'm out of warranty, is this BCM going to cost me a fortune? Hate paying the dealer to fix things a few months out of warranty that should have been built right the first time

Since mine was covered under warranty, I'm not sure how much the module and the labor would cost. My invoice says the FP-number (whatever that is) is 68200252-AF and the Description says "MODULE BO 08035029." I did a couple of Google searches and didn't find any hits, but you might try yourself and see if you have better luck.

I have a 2013 ram 1500 Laramie with the same random door lock issues. I think Tailgate always locks, drivers Door almost always locks, the other 3 doors are completely random. The truck should be out of warranty. I don't want to take it in and just throw money at it to see what happens. How are the bcm swaps working? Prices? I ran the number from a couple post up and see a list price of $260 for bcm.

Anything new to report? I am in a 2013 with the same....Driver's side works, tailgate works, but passenger side is intermittent (both front and rear doors). I'm out of warranty and really do not want to get the dealership beating.

I haven't had any further issues with my door locks since my BCM was replaced in July of this year.

Sounds like they have a quality issue with the BCM. How do we go about requesting this part be recalled?

Exact same problem on my 2013 ram 1500 sport

I have been chasing this problem for over a month now. I didn't even realize the problem until I kept setting the alarm off when my wife opened the passenger door after I had started my car through the key fob... she shouldn't be able to open the door because when you start your truck all the doors should lock. Apparently, all the passenger doors were not locked. I will be calling the dealership to replace the BCM! Thanks everyone.

1) Where is the BCM located on the vehicle?
2) Does it have to be reprogrammed if a used one is purchased?
3) BCM replacement instructions?
