Automatic Door Locks Will Unlock, but Won't Lock

I have a 2013 Ram 2500 also and has the same problem of locking only the left front door and tailgate. Are there any TSB's for this BCM issue. Anybody know how much this cost?

Same issue, all doors click when i lock, but only the 2 rear doors stay locked. The doors auto lock when i drive, but you can still open the doors while the truck is being driven without pressing the unlock button.

I'm having the same problem with my 2013 ram 1500. Someone got into my truck and stole several item out of it. I thought it was locked,but only the drivers door and tailgate was locked. It only locks those two with the remote and drivers door switch. The passenger side switch will lock all doors. I think Ram should fix this problem because to many people are having the same problem. It has already cost me money replacing the item that were stolen.

I started working the passenger side switch several time and it all started working again. Don't know what I did, but glad I did it.LOL

same problem

Key fob unlocks all door and tailgate, but only locks the driver's door aND the tailgate. The front passenger and both rear doors will not lock. I noticed it after I auto started the vehicle and my daughter opened the rear passenger door and the alarm went off. It makes me wonder how long the doors haven't been locking. My windows have rather dark tint on them and I can't see if their locked in the dark. Plus it's a safety issue, I've been leaving my truck running while I run into the store (due to the heat), and anyone would be able to get in and drive away with my truck. :flame:

I am very happy I found this thread, and this is my first post.
I bought my '13 2500 a couple months ago and have had this issue since I bought it; the auto unlock when opening the driver door never worked and the driver door and tailgate only locking. I have worked as a FCA parts advisor for 14 years now and have argued with our techs here at my dealership over this problem several times. After seeing this thread, I took it upon myself to order the BCM, gave it to our diesel tech and told him what I found here. He installed it yesterday and all issues appear to be fixed! Fortunately, even though my truck has only 27K on it, I bought a MaxCare plan and only had to pay my $100 deductible.

Mine are still working perfectly, and, as far as I know, the original poster is trouble free as well since his BCM replacement in July. :happy107:

Looks like I might as well lay down the 100.00 deductible and get it done. I really think Ram should take care of it since so many are having this problem.

If you have any other concerns, get them checked out and fixed at the same time to maximize your deductible.

I took mine to the dealer last week. They replaced the passenger side door switch and the tailgate switch. They said they were shorted out. It worked for 2 days and now we are back to the same old problem. Drivers door and tailgate is the only thing that works. It goes back in on Wednesday.

That sucks...same story from so many people. Even though I work at the dealership, I had to use posts from here as proof and TELL them to replace the BCM. It IS THE FIX regardless of what the diagnostics are saying!

Hi all, I’m so happy I found this thread and forum, I’m having the exact same problem with a 2013 I just bought. It’s Certified Preowned so I hope they cover it.
