I have a 2011 1500 and my bluetooth had always worked with previous phones. However, a while back I got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and my truck doesn't recognize it and the phone doesn't see the truck. I went on UConnect's website and it said there are no updates for my VIN. I'm wondering is there something so different with current bluetooth software that a 6 year difference between my truck and the phone makes them unrecognizable to each other. Anyone had this problem before or know of a fix that doesn't involve replacing the whole headunit? Thanks

I would expect new Bluetooth devices to be backwards capatible just like usb devices. My only suggestion would be delete any phone saved to the head unit and re-pair them.

Thanks, I expected the same thing but it doesn't appear that way. My old phone was the only one and I removed it. Still no luck.

Hi AD139Driver,

You can visit this website to see if your new phone is compatible with your vehicle's Uconnect system: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/care/bluetooth-pairing.html. If it is compatible please PM our page with your VIN so I can look into your concerns further for you!

Thanks, I tired going to the mopar website and I couldn't select a 2011 RAM 1500, the only choices were 3500 and 4500/5500.
I was able to pick my UConnect system (I think) the 730N
But when choosing my phone, it only goes up to Samsung Galaxy S6. I have the S7. Should I assume that since its not listed, its not compatible?

I have a S7 Edge connected tom my 430rez uconnect.
Phone calls work, media streaming not always.
Remeber that you have to talk to your uconnect to pair.
