thanks it's one of my better ones. and I think you have a solid plan with your box just I stress having enough bracing in there so it doesn't flex.

No problem man! It's a really sharp build! The bracing is my only concern. With limited room the bracing will be tricky. But I think it's manageable. If something happens and I beat the box apart I'll just go back to the drawing board and rebuild. No big deal haha. A buddy of mine owns a car audio shop and he's a genius when it comes to box specs and building. He's helping me out. I'm sure we can come up with something.

Not so much worried that the box will rip apart but you will lose db with flex. its actually a lot if your are trying to compete with it.

Yeah that's very true. I'll see what I can come up with. We're starting the box next week and I'm hoping to have this system up and going in a couple weeks. I'll make sure to post pics of the progress.

It's been a little bit since I've had an update but here we go. Currently the sub is being built. Should take a couple weeks to get it in. In the meantime I've got all the wire together and ready to put in. I'm running 1/0 power and grounds throughout. I just ordered a 320 amp alternator from Mechman and it should be here in a couple weeks also. Slowly but surely the build is coming together. I'm still undecided on the amp.

Okay I have an update finally. I got my Mechman alternator in and also got the port, wire, and dual inputs for the amp in. Im still waiting on the sub and amp to get here. Im hoping to get those in within the next week. Im about to start my Big 3 and get that all taken care of. Heres a few pics of the Mechman, inputs, and the port. I need to get pics of the wire too. Im running dual 1/0 runs of Sky High OFC throughout the truck. Enjoy the pics!

Alright guys its been awhile since Ive made an update on my sub build in my RCSB. Things have progressed a bit slow due to the custom building of the sub, amp, and box BUT Im finally making plenty of progress. Ive got the new alternator and big 3 done. I ran Sky High car audio 1/0 OFC throughout the truck. I used Secondskin's Damplifier to sound dampen the whole truck. That stuff is amazing! The box is almost complete. I have to put the second face on it, cut the holes, and make some bracing to hold the sub and then spray the box. Im gonna use Secondskin Spectrum to spray the outside of the box. Its like a rhino liner water based stuff. Looks great when it dries on a box. Here are a few pictures of the progress. The box pics do NO JUSTICE to how big this thing really is. 5 cubes of truck box greatness!

Need to add to my build log. I installed a Kenwood DDX9903s with the Maestro RR and CH3 harness. This head unit along with the Maestro is SICK! The installation on this was flawless and I had no issues with fitment. The only modification I had to do was to cut the support bracket for the factory unit. That took about 5 minutes. Heres a few pics.

Slowly is subjective lol. At least you have started - I have equipment just sitting under in my spare bedroom. I think I am just being cheap and don't want to finish buying everything I need.

Awesome Brody. Hey which year truck you have? What headunit originally came in there that you switched to the Kenwood & Maestro?

Ooh ok. I have the 8.4RA3 touch. Unfortunately, changing the headunit will not work for me. But yours looks real nice.

You could upgrade to a unit like this. You'd just have to change a few more things. You'd have to go to the other dash piece thats in my truck instead of what's in yours. It would be a little more work but it's manageable.

No problem! I'm sure someone has done it here before. I haven't looked but I'm sure there's a thread on it.
