For some reason I can only play music from my IPhone thru Bluetooth. It won't even recognize when I plug in a USB cord and although it will recognize the AUX cord, it will only play music thru Bluetooth.

Anyone have any suggestions? I have a 2016 Ram 1500. I apologize if this is a dumb question.. First new vehicle I've owned in a long time. Thanks!

I made sure my 64GB USB stick was formatted, then I dumped individual MP3 files on it. It worked fine.

What sort of file types are you trying to play?

I'm just running a USB cable from my iPhone 5.

Hmm...I haven't tried that but I suspect that won't work in any event. You need raw data files (MP3) files on a stick to use that USB. I tried that phone to USB thing too and had no success.

I bought a "dedicated" thumb drive that I use specifically for my truck in my USB port and it works great! I leave it in at all times and no worries about music. It's always there. :favorites13:

If not...

Use bluetooth.

Or a 3.5mm jack (2 male ends...unless you have the iphone7, good luck).

Format your USB stick to FAT32. Use individual USB files vs. folders.

I did too all of them and just placed 10 mp3 files on them with no directory. Still nothing. Going to take it to Dodge.
