I got information from another site saying that it would work as long as it was from a 2015 and up. I found a really good deal on one, RA3 and bought it before you guys replied, lol. I should have it in 3 or 4 days and I'll try it out just to check. Thanks...
Please be careful. Those radios mount slightly, yet, significantly differently. You'll need to modify the radio frame by grinding off the top aluminum tab and remove two tabs from the radio bezel to make it fit. The wiring harnesses work.
The BIG problem....I tried a 2017 Chrysler 200 in my Ram for the same reason, it was cheaper. I did the mounting mods which I wasn't crazy about. Then came the problems.
The back up camera picture would go split screen into two pics split horizontally. The picture was not smooth. That is, it was staggered in play as though you were streaming a series of still pics.
Then the instrument cluster did some weird things like the display would light up on its own and stay on awhile. I was afraid it wouldn't shut off.
All other features worked great.
But, due to the problems I outlined I ended up taking it out and replacing it with a 2016 RAM version. Both radios were the RA4 Nav units. Now, EVERYTHING is fine. I wish I had seen your posting a bit sooner to help you avoid the hassle I went through.
I ended up selling the Chrysler radio at a small loss.
