Dead radio

So I am currently dealing with the infamous radio issues that a lot of these trucks come with. I've got a 2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn. It came equipped with the 5.0/ra2. The ram symbol shows for a while, music plays, after a few minutes the music stops. Goes to a black screen, then the symbol comes back and music plays again. It will repeat this process. Only thing I can do is adjust volume. I can't change stations or use any other feature. It started last night when I was leaving work. I have a long drive home from work and not having a properly functioning radio got old, fast. I am wondering how many of my fellow Ram owners have had to deal with this issue, and what did you have to do to fix it.

I would recommend checking if there are any software updates for your Uconnect system by entering your VIN here: https://www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/. If there are no updates available or if the update doesn't solve your concern please let me know!

I downloaded the update through the website you provided, inserted the USB drive in the slot. But I have not been prompted to update through the radio. Screen comes up with the RAM symbol that has the SiriusXM symbol underneath. Stayed that way for a few minutes, screen went blank and came back, twice now. Still no prompts to initiate the update. At this point, I'm assuming the update will not even begin to help, since the screen won't go any further. I shall contact Carmax and hope they will cover the faulty radio under my warranty. Thanks for the help.
