So I already have a RF P600x4 running 75x4 to all four speakers. I have a 4 gauge wire running from the battery to the amp. I Want to add my mono amp which runs my dual 12" setup. The new amp will push 1100w at 4 ohms for both subs. My question is can I simply split my current 4 gauge to both amps or do I have to upgrade the main cable to 0 gauge.

Not safe to run both off that 4 gauge. Either switch to 0 or run another 4 gauge. I run two similar amps of this stuff. It is actually larger than typical so it can handle more power.

Second this. Except I just used left over 1/0 and ran that to the amps. Even normal 1/0 might not be large enough for those amps. Depends on their draw. Thus the reason I went with the Kolossus.

Any reputable 1/0 will be just fine, I like stinger and KNU. What is your new amp that is running 1100w at 4ohms?

just make sure you dont get the cheap china ebay kits. gauge of wire is measured by the OD of the cable and housing. cheaper wire use less wire and more housing. i have seen cheap "4 ga" kits actually had the same amount of wire as a good brand 8 ga.

I have seen this a lot! A friend bought an "amp install kit" from auto zone and the wire was pathetic.

My amp is a old school SPL amp. 3000W max. IT says it is rated at 1100w at 4Ohm. I am sure that is Max RMS. But my subs are not that powerful so the amp is plenty until I decide to upgrade.

You can use the calculators at WIRE to figure out the exact gauge you need, but I can already tell you if you're running both amps loud, 1/0 OFC is a good idea.

I was able to salvage the four gauge wire from my wrecked car. Is there a problem with just running another 4 gauge wire since I have it laying around. I would hate to spend 100 dollars on new 1/0 wire if I didn't have to.

I have decided to run another 4 gauge wire to my other amp. My question is can I just run the new wire to the amp or should I run both wire into a distribution block first and then split off to both amps.
I also did the big three with so KNU klossus so I am good there.

You can run the wire straight to the amp, given the proper fuse.

I finally did the big three this weekend. I ran a fused alternator wire to battery positive. Wire from negative battery to fender, also negative battery to frame (inside driver fender well). I could not find the engine block factory ground. So I just attached a wire to the mounting bolt on the power steering pump and ran a short lead over to the factory chassis ground. Will this suffice?
