I just bought a 2015 Ram 2500 CC last Saturday. I thought I had gone through everything pretty thoroughly, but I just realized that the lock switch on the driver's door isn't working. The door locks and unlocks from the fob. It also works fine when pressing the lock/unlock button on the passenger door.

I haven't had a chance to remove the door panel yet to troubleshoot, but I didn't want to order a replacement switch panel quite yet since all of the buttons are in one unit and it will cost around $60.

Just thought I would post to see if anyone else has had this issue and how they solved it. I'm also guessing that I can't just pull the passenger switch panel and test it on the driver's door since it is likely a different plug.

Sounds like a free fix at the dealership to me.

Hi ngiovas,

If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!

Unfortunately, the vehicle is no longer under the 3/36 warranty since it has 40,000 miles on it. I'm not too worried about replacing the switches for $50. Just wanted to make sure that is what it is before I spend the money.

The sad part is that I went through the entire truck with a fine tooth comb before buying it. I tested every switch. I can't believe it failed so quickly. I took the switch apart tonight and it looks like there are some corroded traces on the circuit board. My guess is that this is causing the problem.

I had the same problem with mine. I left the window down and didn't know it was raining.

Just start by unplugging the panel, put a little dielectric grease on the connector and plug it back in. I'm willing to bet that will do the trick.

I have several FCA vehicles, and my company car a dodge caravan had a recall for this exact issue. The switches were supposed to be more water proof than they were, so like 2104ram4x4 said, it most likely was rained on.

Been experiencing this for the last year on my used 2013 Ram. Figured it was a bad master switch panel. I bought a cheap knockoff and the lock button functioned but the front window switches would not function after installing the new master switch. Passenger side front window switch was disabled as well. i chalked it up to a faulty new master switch panel. Since the doors always lock automatically and with the FOB I didn't really pursue this again until yesterday. I bought a new 2013 specific master switch when low and behold, it did the exact same thing.
At this point, I've confirmed that wiring has continuity, the solenoids work, and the relays work. One master panel will operate all the windows but not lock, the other will operate the rear windows only but the lock switch works? Beginning to wonder if there's a door module that's malfunctioning?

I have been dealing with a similar situation for over a month on my 2013, regular cab. Nothing on the drivers door master control panel works, locks, mirrors, nothing. Took a chance and ordered Mopar control panel and it worked. Drove the truck for 10 minutes, and it stopped working... Finally broke down and took it in to a dealership. Was told it was a bad control module in the door, and they had to order one. Didn't want to take a chance and do the work myself in case it wasn't the module. Back to the dealer for the new module, and 6 hours of waiting, still doesn't work. I think the tech is frustrated as well, since everything works from his laptop when it is plugged into the truck. Apparently some electronic parts are not talking to each other....Another door module has been ordered. So, I wish you luck with your fix...

Pulled the board on the master switch panel to see if there was a visible issue with it. There's what appears to be a burn mark on the backside of the board. This seems to be in spot for the rear windows which function fine. Not sure its affecting this at all.20220605_150428.jpg
Now there's two dark circuit spots on the opposite side that look suspect. One is specifically at the lock side the other at the top of the board where the mirror switch. (Lock switch circuit at the bottom right)20220605_150751.jpg

Mirror switches at top in the above pic. They all function however. I'm not savvy with electronics but these spots seem off. I still can't make sense out of the aftermarket switch panels not operating the front windows. I just ordered a used OEM master switch panel. Hoping that works before I look into the door module.
