I'm trying to get a spare key fob and key for my 2011 Ram on e-bay..but I'm having a hard time finding a listing for a 2011. They list them as 4th gen but stop at 2010. When I inquired to the seller he said he would need the FCC ID to make sure because of conflicting charts he has..(I've tried 3 different sellers all with no 2010 application ) but there's no FCC ID on my key fob..just the silver inlay that says dodge....does anyone know if all 4th gen ram keys are the same...they look the same..mine also has the remote start...thanks

Gotta go to dealer your year, bite the bullet if you need one.

Mine was supposed to be the same, but the locksmith was able to program. Ask your local locksmith if they can, but most likely only dealer can program. You'll save 100 bucks if the locksmith can do it. I bought mine off ebay for 25 bucks. Get a second one if a locksmith can do it, they program it for free or close to free if they have to program one. I got this cool spare key that starts the truck and open tail gate or door without the battery, He programmed it for free because I bought the spare there, I forget what he charged for the ebay key, at least 100 bucks I think.

I know they all have to be programed...I have a guy that has a mobile business and programs them for used car lots. But ..are they (4th gen) all the same as far as a 2010-11 and 12...etc. I see listings that say 09 to present on e-bay but then the RAM listing seems to stops at 2010..and the guys selling them seem to have no clue why and say the listing contradict itself and to get the FCC ID to make sure...but theres no FCC ID on my key. .. I'm just wondering if the 2011 programing is the same as the 2010

...the FCC number usually tells you the frequency it transmits on..but not 100% sure. I clicked the link about and all those were made in china and were generic and didn't say dodge on the back...I don't buy from china. Bad enough when you but here in the U.S its from china...but I wont deal with them direct . I have this one bookmarked...as you can see the listing says up to 2012...but if you go into the listing and check the application chart it says it wont work on a 2011..... And the seller has no idea...he's just a middleman

Fobik key replacement

I bought my 2014 Ram used and it only came with one key. Bought one from carandtruckremotes.com for 69.95 shipped another 32 dollars for cutting and programming at the dealership here in town, works like a champ.
Good luck, it's the cheapest I could find that was actually listed for a 2014.

id is very lightly etched in the tip of the key fob (the part you stick in to the ignition) I took a pic of mine with my phone then blew it up to see it better.
