I just purchased a 2012 Ram 1500 today. I noticed it had a fog light switch but no fog lights... hit the switch and the indicator came on on the dash. As I have been reading about fog lights I have seen that once lights are installed they need to be "flashed" into the CANbus system. Is it a safe assumption that my truck will not need to be flashed since it already recognizes the button and indicates that the non existant lights are on? Thank you in advance for any answers you can provide.

That's what I was thinking. The fog light "button" is the actual center of the headlight switch that gets pushed in.
