I have a 2012 crew cab ST model with the basic Gauge cluster.

I have read before than I can get a sport cluster and it be plug and play.

Is this true?

Yes it is true, just be sure to get one out of a 09-12 truck, the 13+ won't work. I would personally go with one out of a 11-12 truck because the 09-10 evic software is a tad different, but will still work. Also don't forget the steering wheel with the buttons. I am assuming you have the standard wheel without the buttons. Also look for one that has close if not the same mileage, unless you can find a dealer to change this for you. Hope this helps!
