Does anyone know of a high output alternator for the 4th gen hemis? Im thinking of adding a second battery were my stock cai was located. Ive noticed when i crank up my radio my and the bass hits that my dash lights dim a little and just want a little more power for future upgrades.

DC appears not to for our gen, but Mechman has 240/320/370A applications for 07-11; I would ask them why they wouldn't also fit a '12. Mechman are AWESOME alts, popular in the bass-heavy car audio circles and used by Steve Meade.

Sounds like you're on the right track in the quest for more power; HO alt & 2nd batt. (It sounds like you know not to waste your money on a stiffening cap, so I won't go there)

Mechman all the way, I have plenty of friends that run them and never had a complaint. How much power are you running for your stereo and what are you wired down too? You may just need to do a big three upgrade or find better grounds for your amps.

Im running a rockford fosgate t1000 mono block amp 4ga wiring kit. Rockford fosgate t1 12" 2ohm sub. I think im going to do the big 3 upgrade for now and see how that works out but i will eventully go with dual batterys and bigger alternator

For that there really is no reason to spend the money on dual bats and an alt. I that 2000w in my truck right now and rarely get the lights to dim. Now if you step up to a mono amp over 1500w at 1 ohm and are burping then I would look into the extra bat but if you are just playing music there is really no way you should be getting huge voltage drops to warrant the money in an upgrade like that. Of course im always building my system to be bigger and better so if you are like me yeah do it for sure.

Oh good call yeah for sure wouldn't hurt then. I was kinda if you had more equipment going in. I do know in the mean time if you pick your RPMs up to 2000 you will definetly have more amperage availible.
