doesnt sound like they are shielded too well. Might try to move them to a different mounting location, might help?

I had this issue once. I dealt with it for a while then decided to go 6,000k from 10,000k and the static was 95% gone. Same ballast different bulbs. Is it possible the bulbs also cause the static?

Me either but it was an odd thing. I'm glad it cleared up. I've heard a possible fix for the static is "ferrite beads" at the cable coming out of the ballast going to the bulb.. They help filter the RF. I was going to try them but I no longer needed them.

One way to eliminate RF from an electrical source is to install an RFI filter at the radio end of the antenna.

Mine does static too on FM not sure if AM would do it too. I just don't listen to regular radio much anyway.
