So, somehow I broke a phone charger while it was plugged onto the passenger side socket on my 2012 2500. Now, there's a piece stuck in the socket and quite simply--how in the hell do I handle this?

disconnect the battery and do work. drill a hole and start a screw into it then pull, or remove the panel... most sockets have some form of hole you can put a scribe or driver into. can you upload a picture?

Okay. So. Now that I'm home and got my battery charged (last night it was already running on fumes... Didn't make 5 minutes after this post). Here's what I'd accomplished.

Went out to the truck.
Disconnected the battery.
While waiting for the charge to dissipate, went to the Garage.
Smoked a cigarette.
Thought about what everyone who knows I trying to quit would say, and stomped said cigarette.
Got the drill.
Walked back to the truck.
Took a bunch of pictures.
Realized I didn't need the drill in the first place.
Yanked the whole damn socket out of the truck.
Saw nothing in it.
Looked down in confusion, as the pen and springs that made up the POS charger had apparently harmlessly fallen on to the floor last night.
Cussed myself out for not having batteries in the flashlight in the truck.
Walked back to the garage, put the drill away, said to hell with it.
Smoked a cigarette.
