I'm interested in wiring a pre-existing rear view camera from my travel trailer. Where can I get a wire into the cab of my 1500? Down by the floor? Through the firewall? While we're at it, is there a preferred place to access power inside?

Any input appreciated!

A suggestion on another forum was to look for the clutch delete plate on the firewall. Who'd a thunk it! There it was, and super easy to access!

Yes this is the best spot, the bolts remove under the dash and the whole piece comes out. Just drill the center hole to the size wiring you are running, it's nice to run your wires with some kind of wire covers like the above pics. This is how I ran mine .
