I mounted a rear L.E.D light strip with brake, running turn signals and back up lights on my 2011 Laramie. I mentioned it in another post and was asked how I mounted it. I spliced and soldered into the factory trailer harness just behind the bumper and added another 4 wire trailer connector. I Soldered the wires and taped individually then taped into the hardness to prevent corrosion .. I also coated the plug with electrical silicon grease to prevent corrosion. By doing it this way I now have a 4 wire plug on each side of the bumper and the light bar can be plugged in and still be capable of being removed if you sell the truck...I took this off my old truck since it has a lifetime warranty. I also put in the bar for lowering the spare tire and mounted the L.E.D. strip above it to make sure I have access to the spare tire. I think these really add a lot to a truck for both safety and looks.

Thought i saw somewhere here that there is a plug that your light bar plugs into and then it plugs into your trl plug and then there is a built on ext that mounts to the plate on the bumper..That way your trl plug acts as a power source for light bar AND trl lights..
