Installing an additional power inverter with auto shut off

I just got an additional power pure sine inverter installed and the installer told me there was no way to connect the inverter into a remote wire so it turns on and off automatically when the car is started.

I am concerned that I will leave the inverter on after parking and drain my battery. Any ideas?

Does it have a power switch on it? In the past I installed a large inverter and it wasn't feasible to put a relay on the supply. So, I pulled the toggle switch out of it and ran the leads to a relay that I had connected to ignition power. That prevented it from running without the ignition being on.
