Nice to see you back here PADRE 675 !

Thanks. The Misses got mad at how much time/$ I was spending on the truck. Then work ramped up pretty hard for a few months which saw me out of the country. Good news is I'm now seriously under mileage on the truck, thanks to it not being driven for 6 months.

I have also been planning on using the i440 for quite some time now, I cringe at the idea of splicing into a wire if I don't have to. Just finally got the camera and harness for Christmas and was going to install but got stuck missing those terminal as well. Also, on my truck at least ('13 1500 Express), there's an open ground in the i440 with the same size pin that I planned on using.

Are you sure that 7116-4110-02 is the correct part number? I've been searching and couldn't come up with the pn for the pin. If so, I've found that pn at Jameco Electronics (use them often for my other Electronics hobbies) for $0.25 each. They will sell them individually.

Yeah 7116-4110-02 is the 2.8mm 22-20 AWG terminal for that connector. I could never find it but I ended up finding 7116-4111-02 which is the same terminal just made for 18-16 AWG wire. If you google "yesc_kaizen_supplement" and look at page 38 you can see the matrix of terminals. The actual I440 part number at yesc is 7283-6459-40 and is part of their hybrid series.

That was going to be my next question. Great info.

I may have to check out Jameco to see if they have the Foglight terminals (under the PDC) I will need for my foglight harness install.

Do you know what terminals you are looking for? I'm looking for a few to get power to my seats from the PDC. I've found the terminal repair kit part # but it's like 30 bucks and I'm not sure what you even get. Is there a thread on the forum about this? If not maybe ill start one to collect PDC terminal part #s.

The PDC is one thing I don't have p/n's for and wish I did. I got Ricks Ram hooked up on the seat side, but it would be great to be able to go right to the PDC like from the factory.

I will know once I get home. They are the same as the i315 foot well Camera connector pins. Maybe 7116-4100-02 or similar.

It wouldn't matter because the screen resolution on the radio likely isn't much better, maybe 960 x 680. Not sure.

Plus you will lose the active grid lines with an aftermarket camera.

It's actually SDTV resolution - 640x480.

Finally got around to wiring up the camera. Everything went pretty smooth. Hardest part was routing the wiring and getting it zip tied off.

I didn't use the PDC or C5, instead I just ran everything back to the I440 just above the rear driverside seatbelt. Only splice I had to do was extending the Green, Blue, and Purple (Ground, Power and Lin Bus for guidelines) wires from the harness to make them long enough to reach.

Follow up from my install.

Looking back on it, I probably should have routed the wires to the i440 up through the headliner. I went down across the floor instead. The headliner would have made a much easier and cleaner install.

Also, wire grease! Pulling everything through the little nipple on the rubber boot was a PAIN!

I also have an idea for a Harness that could make it a completely ZERO splice job for those who have similar trucks as me. That is those missing the connections in the c322 and Inline-Body (old i315). I'll try and draft up a diagram, as that'll be much easier to explain.

Check the links in post 10. I have a diagram linked ( post 14 ) for recreating Jeepguy's original backup camera harnesses that replicate the 2 missing factory sections (chassis and cab) as well as his original install directions.
Chassis harness ( Post 955 )
Cab Harness ( Post 932)

It's hard to complete with the Mopar kit on price since it comes with everything you need. If you make the 2 harness segments to replicate the missing factory wiring and buy the needed tailgate harnesses and camera, you end up at about the same price. It fits make sense of you can source parts from a salvage yard and area only missing one of the segments like LoveRacing1988 or DannyMk2 were in their trucks.

I also have as link ( Post 1003) for re-routing the mirror backup cam to the radio.

Check the links in post 10. I have a diagram linked (post 14 Installing OEM backup cam - Page 2 - DODGE RAM FORUM - Dodge Truck Forums ) for recreating Jeepguy's original backup camera harnesses that replicate the 2 missing factory sections (chassis and cab) as well as his original install directions. Also have as link for re-routing the mirror backup cam to the radio.

As far as I can tell, all of those options require the wiring to be available from the c322 to the inside connector (Inline-Body or i315). My truck didn't have that, so I had to feed the harness through the rubber boot.

Once inside though, since I did have the i440 populated, I was able to bypass dealing with the BCM C5/E connector and trying to get it undone and all that jazz. Plus I didn't have to splice into the PDC.

That all said, the OEM kit has you terminating all of the wires into their radio harness, with only the 3 for Radio coming out. I was thinking you could add three more wires to that on the radio side and run it to the i440. All it would take is three radio side connectors, 10' (appx) of wire, and the three i440 connectors (which Deereguy gave us the pn for). No splicing or cutting required, just crimping.

You are correct. Yours did not have the segment from c322 to the i315 (or inline-body/IP at the foot well). Is yours an express?

I wonder if the i440 uses the same Yazaki terminals as the i315 or the Foglight Connector at the PDC? I think I recall DeereGuy's post about using the i440 for his cargo cam wiring? I may have to do lookup the pinout and connector pn info on it sometime.

Tradesman, I think.

Yea, Deereguy did a similar install using the i440. I'm not sure if it's the same connectors you're asking about.

But the Jameco terminals are the correct ones. And they did a 5 day turn around from order to delivery, with just standard shipping.

See links in post 10. The are 4 connectors you need to check to know whether or not any wiring is there or not. What radio? 1500 or 2500?

Glad mine came with the rear camera. But I also added a front view camera to make parking in tight spots easier lol
