I don't believe I have that settings option for the Active Gridlines either. Might be dependent on the Radio's Software Version though.

EDIT:
I have finished (@99%) the schematic for the Ram Camera Add-On Kit and added the reference to post 10..

Here is the basic factory schematic for the Factory and Add-On Kit for the Radio ...
2013+ Factory & OEM Add-On Kit PN 82214240 schematics.png

- I still need someone to verify/ohm out whether or not the Yellow and Purple wire in the kit's Body Harness are connected or not.
So you don't have that option for active gridlines , but you have the lines right ? You just don't have the option to turn them off ? I've confirmed the guy I purchased my RA2 5.0 Radio from that it DID HAVE the active grid lines when he had it ? I wonder if being shut off for an extended time (6 mo. per previous owner ) it would loose certin functions related to software update ?

Great job on the schematics on the backup cam systems ! I'm sure someone will chime in on the remaining info . If I have a reason to remove my BCM C5 connector I'll surely ring it out !

MTGTS,
The C322 and I315 connectors need to be rotated 180* and new pictures taken. Look at the pictures I posted for you earlier, note the areas I circled and make sure you get those pins in the pictures.

Take a look at and reference the 2500 Schematic (also in that post) to check the pins and make notes about the color code on the camera related wires at those pins as it may help figure it out.

PS: Exactly what parts and P/n's did you already purchase and install in the tailgate? I'm wondering if you got everything you needed back there too.
I have to go to work soon and won't be able to help as much the rest of this week.

I took the setup out of my 1500 that I had jeepguys harness in it. I used the tailgate surround, cam, and cam pigtail from that and installed into the 2500 the same way. The main harness and radio/bcm harness are not in the 2500.

I'll take some more pics of the other connectors

@MTGTS,

You do have the wires going from the tailgate to the Factory Cab/Chassis Connector C322 under the left front Wheel well (although the colors don't appear to match the factory schematic. See 2500 Schematic in post 14)

Now the question is, do you have the 3 video wires from C322 to i315 (by the break pedal (check the pins) and

Then do you have the 3 Video wires continued on from i315 to the back of the Radio C1?
***This is likely what you will be missing***

You may be in luck and just need the XAC code flash (edit: that is already done)

I will add pictures in a sec to this post.

Note: The colors for the camera wires in these pictures do not apply as they are from JeepGuy's harness, but the pins will be correct for factory wires if they are indeed there from the factory.

EDIT:

(Here are the 3 video Inputs for CustomTronix Jailbreak):
Backup Cam: 31, 32, 33
CHMSL Cam: 21, 22, 23
Front Cam: . . 24, 25, 26

new pics

Well MTGTS, this is strange...

1) You definitely have the 3 Video wires going from the i315 Connector at the Brake pedal up to the back of the radio's C1 (color's match at both ends)

2) You do not appear to have the 5-6 wires coming into the C322 from the tailgate's factory i550 connector.
This is weird b/c it appears those wires are at the i550 end in your previous pictures (unless that was not the end going forward to C322), which leaves me wondering where they went? Did they just fold the wires back and tape them off in the harness just before the connector? IDK.
** Q: Can you get a better picture of the i550 showing all the wires/colors? **

Perhaps we are overlooking something. Some options:

- Use the 2500 schematic from post 14, disconnect the battery and find a way to ohm out the pins from the i550 to the i315 etc. Perhaps they have done something different that is not in the schematic.

- Verify that you have the following parts in the tailgate:
Camera Lock Jumper Harness P/N P68096415AC
Tailgate Wire Harness P/N P68189124AB

- Purchase the RAM OEM Add-on Camera Kit and install it, if you don't feel like digging through the connectors/pins/wiring using the prints to verify things.

I only added one harness inside the tailgate which is the same one I took out of my working 1500 setup. Is is the harness with 3 plugs, one of them being the video feed plugging directly into the cam.

Post 228 edited. Have a look.
Verify the P/N's on the harnesses in the tailgate.

I have p68189124ab in my tailgate.
That's correct, what about from there down to the i550?

No, nothing. Didn't have it on my last truck either. Where does it plug into inside the tailgate? Pics of this harness?

Thanks, I'm ordering one now. Hopefully this solves everything. Wonder why i didn't need that in my last truck.

Dang, Don't order it! Verify if you have it or not first!
One end of it is the i550 that comes through the tailgate.
There is a good chance it is already in there.

You still need to research the wiring from the i550 to the c322 anyway, otherwise your wasting money.

Your call on ordering then. You may still end up buying the official kit though.

I know we sadly lost Jeep_Guy last year
I was wondering if anyone has taken up the job of making the custom harness he was making. If not does anyone have a picture of his harness and the detailed instruction for the install he included in the custom harness he was selling?
I just purchased the OEM rear camera from the dealer and will be doing the install myself. I have an appointment this week to have the computer flashed for the integrated brake controller I installed and at the same time I going to have them flash the rear camera.
Any help would be appreciated
