On my 2014 Ram 1500 I have developed an intermittent failure to start. My key fob unlocks, locks and panic functions fine….but when inserted in ignition and turned nothing happens. No lights, bells, clicks….nothing. I remove the fob and re-insert it will eventually start as normal. At first I thought low battery in fob…changed it, still same. Then thought maybe WCM (wireless control module), but from everything I’ve read there, if it were the WCM the locks would work either…..Help please…Thx

The ignition part of the fob doesn't use the fob battery.
The chip in the fob could be the issue.
Have you tried the other fob ?

Thanks for your reply....the other fob stopped working altogether sometime ago and I've been using this one without issue until now. When this started though, I did put in a fresh battery (not knowing that battery had nothing to do with starting until now) and I still wouldn't work at all...no lock/unlock, panic, nothing...

Mine did that and it was a bad starter wire.
