I swapped out for a Kenwood ddx 9703s but to get Android auto, I needed to bypass. The micro bypass from Amazon, caused the headunit to short cycle turn on and off. Turn on for 5 second then turn off and kept doing it. It was wired correctly. Blue to amp power wire, not antenna, black to ground and green to green. My neighbor said new head units said that some of the newer head units have a sequence you can do to software bypass and not wire bypass. Wondering what I need to do to bypass

Kenwood a you do not need a bypass for them. Simply wire the green wire from the back of the head unit to ground

Yep. I just installed a DMX7704s. Just ground the parking brake wire, no nannies!

Do the Kenwood decks require you to press an "ok" or "accept" button at startup before you can use them?

My pioneer doesn't need a bypass. I held the bottom left corner for a few seconds. It asked a question I accepted one time months ago and I can watch movies or play with gps. I have a avic 7200nex

This is what my neighbor did, and he said all have different bypass technques .

My Kenwood requires me to hit ok every time.

as was mentioned, no need for bypass just wire the handbrake signal to the ground.

also yes you have to accept the disclaimer every time you start the unit on the new Kenwoods.

To a different ground or to the ground to the harness?

I've done the same thing with my past 2 kenwoods and never have had a problem

Just a heads up, I know the newer Kenwoods have an updated OS that is also available to some older units. The new update makes it so that you can click a check mark on the warning screen so that the warning screen will disappear on it's own after 10 seconds.
