Not sure if this has ever come up before, but it has been discussed on other forums I've been on, and it works.
You can dramatically increase the range of your key fob if you press it underneath your chin while you press one of the buttons. In layman's terms, your cranial cavity becomes part of the antenna and thereby extends the range.
Use the flat part underneath your chin, sort of directly below your tongue, such that the key fob is parallel to the ground. Press the fob onto your skin to ensure good contact as you're pressing the button.
Sound like snake oil? Go try it in a parking lot and see for yourself!
You may also be able to increase your range depending on which way you have the key fob pointed while you're doing this, e.g. orienting the fob towards your vehicle as you're pressing. I haven't experimented much with this part of it.
