Not sure if this has ever come up before, but it has been discussed on other forums I've been on, and it works.

You can dramatically increase the range of your key fob if you press it underneath your chin while you press one of the buttons. In layman's terms, your cranial cavity becomes part of the antenna and thereby extends the range.

Use the flat part underneath your chin, sort of directly below your tongue, such that the key fob is parallel to the ground. Press the fob onto your skin to ensure good contact as you're pressing the button.

Sound like snake oil? Go try it in a parking lot and see for yourself!

You may also be able to increase your range depending on which way you have the key fob pointed while you're doing this, e.g. orienting the fob towards your vehicle as you're pressing. I haven't experimented much with this part of it.

I just put the flat end part of the FOB against my temple, but I do agree that it works. Still wish we had the 1/4 mile range that the Subaru ones have for remote start.

It works if you don't have a jaw full of metal like I do.

And each time it creates a new micro tumour...

That is all my wife said the last time she saw me do it.

Try opening your mouth while doing this while inline with the truck. The RF waves will intensify from bouncing around in your mouth and increase exponentially giving you even greater range. The more metal fillings you have the better.

It does work. I read about it last year when i first got my truck and these fobs were new to me. I dont care about any internal damage. my brain is already fried from all the drugs I did in high school!

On my Jeep, I can hold the key fob to the right side of my head at the temple and it always increases the range.

Kind of an old trick now, it's worked on every vehicle I've owned. I don't do it all the time, but occasionally it comes in handy in the movie theater parking lot and what not.
