Hey All,

Looking for input for my 17 RCSB uConnect 5.0 speaker set-up. I listen to 80% talk radio and 20% rap music. Which set-up would workout the best for my listening habits? I do already have a LOC hooked up to my L/R rear speakers and 50a fuse wired to the battery under the drivers seat ready to go.

I'm leaning towards the Kicker 11HS8 for the sub.

For speakers I'm looking at the:

77KICK28AB and 77KICK41

or

REF-5022cfx, REF-6522EX and REF-3022cfx

For a reference of the sound I like to listen too. My home theater system consist of Martin Logan LCR and a SVS sub.

For your taste in home theater - you will be greatly disappointed by those options. I would say either set expectations low, or increase your budget (significantly). But of those two I would go with the Kicker. Infinitys are too bright IMO and would be horrible for talk radio.

^^^ i would agree. If you are playing with those brands for home audio you will be disappointed with the either the kicker or infinity.

That being said if sq is important to you i would look into audison, hertz, focal.

Thanks for the help.

I went with Martin's only because dialogue from Blu-ray and music was crystal clear. Base is great but clear vocals is top priority. I'm hoping more of the same in the truck.

If it was me. i would do a 4 channel amp. 2 channels to a set of components up front, 2 channels bridged to a sub.

I don't like really bright speakers but the infinitys sound great up front on my 8.4AN. Lately I been finding old stock jbl power series and found they sound really good. Added the p963 to rear doors and like them a lot. On my Camaro SS with all aftermarket system I added jbl power series 6.5s up front and they blow away the Kenwood excelon 6.5s and tweeters I had up front for much better price.
