If you're looking for something simple go with the Infiniti bass link. All in one unit and simple hookup. That's what I'm going to run once I get finished with the rest of my stuff. I've never had much luck with the off brand stuff and that setup you posted is about the same cost wise as the bass link.

I havent had any experience with boss stuff but I havent really heard any good things about them.

Go with something like kicker, alpine, infiniti, or kenwood. Those are all good name brands and I'm sure you can find something that fits your wants.

Do you have it in a crew cab? where is it placed?

Yes, 2012 crew cab. It's in the package tray just behind the cupholders. I just put a strip of industrial Velcro on the bottom and it stuck right down into place.
