I have owned my truck for over 3 years and for the most part I've been very happy with it. HOWEVER over the past month or so it's driving me crazy. In summary these are the issues that have happened over the last month - all out of nowhere.

- Service 4wd drive error comes on after starting the truck. Obviously when this happens 4x4 is useless. I can clear the error if I turn the truck off and start it again. This has occurred twice and both on rainy/wet days.

- Drivers side heated seat would come on for a few seconds and then turn off. This only happened once last week. Like the service 4wd error it went away when I turned the truck off and restarted.

- Transmission in park, but dash indicates that it was in reverse. After messing with this for a few minutes shifting through gears with the break firmly pressed I somehow got it to go back in park and was able to start the truck. This happened tonight.

Needless to say I am getting impatience with these issues and don't know what the hell is going on. Is it a fuse issue, BCM or ECM? I'm not very mechanically inclined so can someone explain it to me or point me in the wrong direction? Please help. At this rate I'm getting very frustrated and am contemplating getting rid of her if I can't fix it without breaking the bank.

For the first two issues I'd unhook the negative terminal on your battery for a little while first and see what that does. Then go from there.

As for the tranny, is there a buildup of slush or snow underneath your truck by any chance? I had the same thing happen last winter when slush packed up the linkage cable.

I had the drivers seat issue occur during our first cold snap it was about 20 below and a simple restart of the truck worked for me too.

The driver's seat heat issues happens to me Everytime I remote start the truck... If for some reason the heat wasn't activated on remote start then it can't be activated until I turn it off and start again with the key..100% every time. Very strange. I also had my service executive light come on just once on a snowy day after it was working fine. I used it to drive to home depot but after loading up and leaving the parking lot the light came on. Hoping that doesn't happen again. I'm also in a 2011 Longhorn.
