Mopar kicker speakers discontinued??

So Tuesday I ordered the mopar kicker upgrade for my '16 parts girl said it should be in by Friday. Went today to pick them up and she told me that the part has been discontinued! WTF?

Anyone know of a replacement part # or anything? Just seems weird that mopar would disco a part like that.

Well at first I call BS. But it would be helpful to give a hint to the part number you tried to order for further investigation by the knowledgeable members here.

The part number was 77kick28ab.

I should also probably mention I'm in Canada so it would be mopar Canada.

I hope it's just a computer error and that they really aren't disco I'd like to have a set

Do you have Amazon in Canada? There are at least 8 left in stock as of yesterday, $142.XX USD.

I think they changed the part number. When did g a Google search for a set, I noticed there were different numbers. Don't remember what they were though.

We do but the price on amazon was over 300 bucks, the dealer was charging me 180.

With the exchange how it is now we get ***** on the dollar

I also tried to order the same kit this week, and yes it is discontinued. The number changed to a regular accessory number 8221----?, but still discontinued.

Well that stinks about the price. I paid $142 USD last week and it is on the rise. Over $150 right now. There are other numbers for different applications they didn't change. The 77kick28ab is for oem 6 speaker w/o alpine. Then there's a number for rear door speakers only. I think it's 77kick41. There is also a kit for the alpine setup (maybe 77kick11). Greygoose would probably know the status or have a way to give you some direction.

Not to hijack thread but what is the main difference than the ones Best Buy carries? I noticed they carried the 40CS/41KSC series. Is there a big change from the 77 series? Non alpine in my truck if that helps. Thanks.

I think the 77 series come with the factory style plug ins for the speaker wires. Essentially plug and play.

The ks series you would have to cut off the factory harness or purchase the correct adapter.

I do not own either, this is just how I understand it from reading on the forums.

I ordered mine last Monday from stevewhitemotors out of Hickory NC. They got here in two days and were installed in about 20 minutes. They have web page with all kinds of stuff for the trucks as well. I called them to verify they would fit in my truck before since I've seen so many different part numbers. Oh and the price was $145.78 with shipping off of their web page.

as others have mentioned, looks like the "Kick" part numbers are now changing to normal Mopar numbers:

So 77KICK28ab is now 82215414
and
77KICK41 is now 82215415

For us Canadians, there are a few online mopar places that have pricing similar to what the US is offering just of course in equiv. CDN (e.g. $180 CDN for the 82215415 where it is about $135 USD online). No real incentive to buy from online US retailer if price is the same.

Where are you finding these in canada?

Also my dealer tried both part numbers old and new, no luck.

Try here, no association to them but you can input your Ram info and it tells you the kit numbers, ie my 2016 would use M77KICK28 in front and M77KICK41 for the rear.

MoparPartsCanada.ca, but have no idea if they have stock or can get them. I have used them before though.
