I have had this very loud, annoying electronic screech come out of my left front speakers. It happens every couple days when I open the door before i put the key in the ignition and lasts about 5 to 10 seconds. Once or twice it did it when I was driving, about 5 minutes after start up. Its very loud and scared the hell out of me.

Stereo is the 3.0 version.

Could this be interference from the blue tooth connection to the radio? Dealer has no idea and of course they will have to keep it until it does it to them. The truck has less than 300 miles and ive owned it for about three weeks. Good thing its under warranty.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen

Our circumstances are a bit different, but I had the same screech coming from my speakers...my issue was my amp got wet and started sending straight DC current through my speakers...it ultimately fried my front speakers due to the spike.

The noise literally sounds like that noise Jim Carey made from Dumb and Dumber.

Hi ADUBIS,

Sorry to hear about this! If you would like to PM our page with your VIN and contact information I’d be happy to follow up with your dealership for you.

And here I thought you're talking about a ricer with a fart can on it when I read the subject line.

UPDATE: It's been a couple weeks now and I haven't heard the awful noise. Every time I get in my truck I have my phone on Video ready to record the noise. The only thing that changed was I set up my iPhone so that the radio can read text messages. Not sure if that has anything to do with the situation but we shall see.

HELL yeah! God, that just sounds like crap. I was next to a car full of somewhat younger girls. This ricer just nailed it across the intersection for no reason, and didn't even increase speed mind you.. lol.. and I heard the girls giggling..

Well, I finally got a short video of the noise. The truck is at the dealer for diagnosis. Special thanks to Andrea with Ram Cares for being on top of things. She has gone above and beyond to help resolve the issue!

Issue Identified

UPDATE: At last, the noise finally started happening when I got in the truck to go home. Luckily I work directly across the street from the dealership. It took almost 10 minutes for the noise to stop.
Turns out a capacitor in the speaker melted and the solder or whatever is inside leaked out and made a connection to the frame of the speaker, thus causing the noise.
A new speaker is in order and hopefully no more sudden loud surprises after it is replaced. I hope this thread will help someone else if they have the same issue.
Thanks All! :favorites13:
